PURCHASE AND SALE SIGNED!

AHHHHHH!  It's signed!  This flighty buyer has FINALLY signed the Purchase and Sale agreement!  Which means, as long as she isn't willing to lose her deposit, we will have our house sold by the birth of babe #2!

And a little something from babe #1.  I was going to take Jeanne out for a walk, but it we had gusts up to 40 mph, which were pushing me a bit, so I though a 24 pounder would fly away.  We stayed in and did some art instead, Jeanne thought her skin was the best canvas.

New store

Holy hooka Batman!  I just went to the most amazing store!  It's called the Teach Me Store.  Filled with wonderful puzzles, books, puppets, music items, all from 2 and up.  Now, they didn't have a cart I could put Jeanne in, so I had to hold her or watch her, which annoyed me, but I luckily have a fantastic daughter who listens well and stays near mum.

I did buy a puzzle of numbers 0-9 (since she is learning her numbers very quickly, but doesn't seem interested in puzzles so, much, I was hoping the numbers would help) and some "Brain quest" cards (for 2-3 year olds), non-toxic ink pads for her stamps (she just loves getting stickers or stamps on her hands, it makes her beam), and an activity book to help learn colors and shapes.

While looking at puzzles (me, not her), I noticed two doll houses out that kids could play with.  She was drawn to it immediately, and she stayed there..... and stayed there..... and stayed there.  I know shes a girl, but I was never into doll houses or dress up or the like, but she LOVED putting all the bunnies in their beds and putting them to sleep etc.  I finally took a video.  She was too cute.

The two men couldn't be more different.

And here are OLD photos from our December trip to Miami.  Sorry I never uploaded them before.  Jeanne just loved seeing her Memaw and Papaw!

HA, and I thought I was big then!

Guilt or Fear

Hubbers reminded me that I haven't blogged in a while, sorry.  I'm sick, again.

Anywho, I've been trying to get ready for baby #2's arrival, freezing soups, knitting, organizing clothes, etc.  In the meantime, Jeanne and I have settled nicely into a routine.  Breakfast, Gymboree, lunch, nap, snuggles on the couch with juice after the nap, afternoon painting or a walk outside when its nice, hubbers comes home, dinner, bath, and bedtime.  Overnight, Jeanne will wake anywhere from 2-4 times, and she is finally (fingers crossed) healthy in the belly.

During the day, we have conversations, she will blather, blather, then make a distinct clear short sentence. Just in the last 2 weeks, her mastery of the simple sentence has been amazing.  She is so curious about her surroundings, and will name everything around her, and if she doesn't know the name, she will say "Mommy this"?  She is learning her numbers very well, but has some strange severe block to learning colors, everything is green.

So the Guilt or Fear title.

Jeanne and I spend most of our days laughing, learning, and playing, that at times I feel guilty, knowing how much that will all change when the babe arrives.  The first 2-3 months are really the worst, as far as needing to hold the babe and nurse on demand, I worry that Jeanne will feel shunted or pushed aside.

We have spoken to Jeanne often about the baby, and that mommy has Loki in her belly, but only time will tell if she is patient and calm.

I feel so close to Jeanne right now, and she is such a joy to be with.  I hope she still sees how much I love her, and that my love will not change.

Real quick

Just wanted to update on the Doctor's appointment.  Babe #2 is growing just fine, and so am I (grumble).  I explained my worry about not knowing of any indicators of oligohydraminos (low amniotic fluid), and that we just happened to find it when I was pregnant with Jeanne because she was breech.  So, she got a portable ultrasound and took a look.

A healthy amount of amniotic fluid is 5 cubic centimeters, and I was measuring 16 cubic centimeters and baby's head was down.

Now all I have to do is get ready for a natural birth.  no. problem.

Health on the up and up.

Well, Jeanne recovered nicely about 4 days ago, but hubbers and I have been sick, sick, sick.  I've been able to nap during the day a couple of times, but I am still stuffy and still have a gross cough (hubbers is still stuffy, but at work).

We've been taking Jeanne to Gymboree class, and she loves it.  She's not the oldest in her group, but the teachers there said she could try the next level, which has more imaginative play rather than free play, so we'll give that a try this week.

I have a Doctor's appointment today to determine if I am 'high risk' for a VBAC or a good candidate, so wish me luck.  I do NOT want another operation and another opportunity to be over dosed with toxic drugs while trying to meet my newborn for the first time.

I know I haven't posted pics in a while, I will try to amend that soon.  But for now, here is a blanket I made for Loki.  It's crocheted, made because I love, love, love the ripple blanket I was given by my in-laws mother, Opal.  I plan on making a much bigger one 'adult' sized later.  I had so much fun making it, I haven't crochetted in many, many years.
